The Tingling and Numbness Are Gone

When I first felt the tingling in my legs, I did not think too much about it because I had gone from being extremely active to extremely sedentary. I thought that it was just a symptom of a new type of lifestyle because of the change in my job. However, when the numbness started, I knew that something was wrong. I went to the doctor, and he told me that it is Sciatica. He gave me some medicine which helped a bit, but I wanted more relief. I consulted a chiropractor in Santa Maria after my doctor told me months later that he could do a surgical procedure that could bring me some comfort.

While I definitely wanted to feel better, I did not want to go through a surgery. Continue reading

I Overdo Things, but at Least I’m Not Crazy

I figured I would get one of those exercise videos to work out to at home in the mornings before work. I had not renewed my gym membership. Not that I was going all the time anyway. I would show up maybe twice per week for for anything aerobic. At home I figured I could really hit it hard without any worry of embarrassment. Our trees needed pruned back so their canopies did not touch. I called a tree service in Nassau County to come out and do the job. I did not want any algae growing on the porch roof because of it being in shade under the trees every day, and I did not want the squirrels to use the branches close to the gutter as a highway to the porch roof. When I saw one up there, I knew it was time to scale back the trees in our front yard. Continue reading
